US Fast Food in Spain

It’s been a while since our last post. Not much to report on as we make our way through a lazy August.

The US influence in Spain (and probably throughout Europe) is most noticeable in our prized export, fast food restaurants.

While walking through any major city that receives significant tourism it is common to find a multitude of familiar names.

Below we have shown a sample of some we found here in Alicante.

Of course, we have to start with Micky D's

And, true to form, BK is not too far away on the same street.

Starbucks has a large presence, and truthfully, if you want a large cup of American style drip coffee, it is one of the few places you can get it.

The Colonel, finger lickin' good.

Five Guys promises the full All-American experience.

And lastly, Taco Bell, for your Tex-Mex cravings.

So rest assured, you can find some familiar, cheap, fast food here just like at home.

You will also find some places that promise US style food such as this BBQ place. It actually looks pretty good, but we have not been there yet.

Now that I have whetted your appetites...

Salud.
